SEPTEMBER 2008 -- Bruce Conte joins Platinum Express

-- not just one but TWO INCREDIBLE NIGHTS!

On September 12th in Bonner Springs and 13th in Olathe, at Side Pockets, from 9:00pm to 1:00am, Platinum Express will have the honor of sharing two nights of music with the one and only international superstar R&B, Funk and Soul guitarist, Bruce Conte!

Bruce Conte is known best to Platinum Express fans as THE consummate guitarist for the one and only Tower of Power! His sound and artistry was a HUGE part of the "magic" in all of the Tower of Power's greatest and best-known hits!

His illustrious career, to date, also includes countless studio and performance credits with others, like The Rolling Stones, George Benson, Santana, B.B. King, Herbie Hancock, the OJays, the Staple Singers, Ray Charles, Chaka Khan, Al Green, Dr. John, Eric Clapton, Chick Corea, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder and was featured in the recent Earth Wind and Fire Experience.

Bruce also has an extensive library of his own R&B, Funk Soul material, performing and touring with his Bruce Conte Band.

Bruce’s affiliation with Platinum Express is through Platinum Express founder and guitarist Mike Panethiere. Bruce has been Mike’s guitar coach and mentor for several years as well as a close friend. Mike is especially grateful and excited that Bruce was able to come to Kansas City and fit the Platinum Express shows into his busy performance and recording schedule.
