BILL BRAME - Trumpet

Bill's playing and performing started in high school after trumpet lessons helped him win a lead chair. As college came around Bill was well on his way to a career of trumpet performance and studio work. Back-up radio ads and television were part of his college money. Bill attended John Brown University, Kansas City Kansas Community College, and University of Missouri, Kansas City seeking a degree in trumpet performance. Bill left university life to make a home with his high school sweetheart and concentrated on his family and carpentry business for many years but never gave up his goal of someday playing more than just a little.

About six years ago Bill really started practicing hard and started playing with a couple of big bands. Abel Rameriz Big Band, Kansas City Community Blue Devils Big Band, Theatre In The Park are only some of the groups Bill has worked with recently. Bill enjoys his music to its fullest with his trumpet work in Platinum Express.

Bill would prefer to go by Billy professionally. He plays a Shilke trumpet and loves to listen to big band music, Phil Driscol, Doc Severenson, Chicago, and Blood Sweat and Tears.
